நெஞ்சில் ஓடும் நினைவுகள்

  சில வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு அலுவலக நண்பரின் வீட்டுத் திருமணத்திற்குப் சென்றிருந்தேன். சந்தடிகளுக்கு நடுவே நாதஸ்வரத்திலிருந்து ராகங்கள் பெருகி வழிந்து கொண்டிருந்தன. ஆனால் கேட்பார் யாரும் இல்லை. தாலி கட்டிய சில நேரத்தில் நாதசுரத்திலிருந்து பழைய சினிமாப் பாடல்கள் ஒலிக்க ஆரம்பித்தன. எல்லாமே பொருள் பொதிந்த பாடல்கள். பூஜைக்கு வந்த மலரே வா.. என்ற பாடலை நாதசுரக்காரர் உற்சாகமாக வாசித்தார். வாசிக்க வாசிக்க வாசிக்க பாடல் வரிகள் மனதில் ஓடத் துவங்கியது. நானும் இன்னொரு நண்பரும் அருகில் சென்று அமர்ந்து கேட்டோம். வாசிப்பவர் பெரிதும் உற்சாகம் அடைந்தார்.  திருமணங்களில் நாதஸ்வரம் பெரிதாக முக்கியத்துவம் பெறுவதில்லை.  எங்கள் பகுதியில் இப்போது எல்லாம் கேரளத்திலிருந்து வந்து செண்டை மேளம் வாசிக்கிறார்கள். அது ஒரு தாள லயம். அது ஒரு ஓசை. எஸ்.ராமகிருஷ்ணன் "சஞ்சாரம்" என்று ஒரு நாவல் எழுதினார். அதற்கு சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது கிடைத்தது. அது நாதஸ்வரக் கலைஞர்களின் வாழ்க்கை பற்றியது. விருது கிடைத்த சமயம் எஸ்.ராமகிருஷ்ணன் இவ்வாறு சொன்னார்.
